Speed Queen is an old fashioned company, manufacturing appliances the old fashioned way. Made in Wisconsin, the Speed Queen appliances of today use the same design from decades ago. The design has been sold to other appliance manufacturers in the past, but those manufacturers always changed it for the worst and it never ended up having the reliability that everyone came to expect from Speed Queen.

For a few years Alliance, the parent company for Speed Queen, didn't manufacture the design in a residential model because they were selling so many of their commercial units, that they needed to divert all of their energy to making their coin-op machines.

FUN FACT: Speed Queens top load washer is manufactured in Wisconsin, but the design is partially owned by the Canadian teachers union.

The Power Of Our Agitation.

The quality of the wash is the most important part of your washer. If your clothes don't get clean, then it doesn't matter how pretty or expensive your washer is. When it comes to the Speed Queen agitator, there's very few machines on the market today that can come close. Check out this video of a side by side comparison of the Speed Queen and 2 of it's main competitors.
